 PART 11  || Electricity from Animals- The Frankenstein story ||

The next person in our trail did something completely different and something exceptionally fascinating. The unusual nature of this guy's mention would become even more clear after I mention his profession: Physician and biologist. But to be fair, also, a physicist and also a philosopher. With the next person we move, in this study, back to Europe (😑). This man is from Bologna(Then, Papal States; now Italy): Luigi Galvani(1737 - 1798). Though this guy's work is very interesting and fascinating too, I will, for some reasons, cover it concisely here. For that reason, I am going to source wikipedia and chatGPT for this part.

It says that Galvani's interest in "medical electricity" came from the ongoing researches in electricity in Europe in the 18th century and also: 


Galvani is credited with the discovery of what is called "animal electricity". In 1780, using a frog, he discovered that the muscles of the dead frog's legs twitched when struck by an electrical spark. He briefly got into a controversy with Volta, about which you can read on the Wikipedia page.

 This blog is gonna be short. Ironically, this was supposed to be the first blog on this platform😓. But here we are still. This process started at the beginning of my second semester (almost September - October of the year 2023), was scrapped multiple times( you'll know why with the story), and stretched along to a faint completion to the end of the year 2024. Someone Else's sunlight

 Someone else's sunlight- a poem about an unfulfilled longing to contain beauty and the fact that you can't.  I was listening to Monali Thakur singing 'sawar lu' in an interview. I saw this yt short specifically-  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/d4r5cf7irwQ . A swarm of emotions surged through my chest. I felt as if it was melting my heart away. All of it- not just the song- her sweet voice sounded like a lullaby promising safety from danger- almost as a mother to a child singing a song about sunshine and rainbows even when everything around is anything but. Her expressions reeked of innocence and her large eyes wandered all about as if signaling the effortlessness and the innocence in all of that ephemeral beauty. as if was gold for us- is just a regular thing for her divine self to keep.
